It holds up to 16 pickup truck loads, so most crews fill it and never think about a second haul. That one price covers drop off, pickup, and 6 tons of weight.

One 40, or Two Smaller Hauls?
The question we get most on big jobs. Here's how we actually think about it.
Here's the thing people don't always see coming. On a real big job, renting two smaller cans usually costs you more than one 40. Every can has a drop off and a pickup baked into it. Rent two, and you pay for two trips out and two trips back. Rent one 40, and you pay for one. When your pile is big enough to fill a 40, the math almost always lands on the big can.

You grab a 20, fill it, wait for a swap, then fill another. That's two deliveries, two pickups, and a gap in the middle where your crew is standing around. On a big job it adds up quick.
One 40 Yard
One drop off. One pickup. The whole pile fits, and the crew never stops to wait on an empty can. For most big jobs, this is the cheaper and faster way to go.
Now, this isn't a hard rule. If your job is right on the line, we'll tell you. Sometimes a 30 really is the better call. That's the whole point of picking up the phone. Travis has loaded enough cans to know which way your job leans, and he'd rather get it right than sell you the biggest one.
What Goes In, and What to Call About First
Most stuff is a green light. A few things need a heads up before they hit the can.
Load It Right In
- Demolition debris, drywall, and old lumber
- Framing, decking, and torn off roofing
- Furniture, mattresses, and cabinets
- Most appliances, including washers and dryers
- General junk from a full house or garage cleanout
Call First on These
- No tires and no wet paint. Those two just can't go in.
- Fridges, freezers, and AC units need the coolant drained by a pro first. Tell us and we'll walk you through it.
- Pure heavy debris like concrete, brick, or dirt hits the weight limit long before it fills the can. On a 40, that happens fast.
That last one trips people up, so let me say it plain. A 40 is huge, but weight is weight. Load it full of concrete or dirt and you'll blow past 6 tons with the can barely half full. Standard rental runs 7 days, and if your commercial job needs the can longer than that, just say so when you book. Longer terms are a quick conversation, not a hassle.

40 Yard Questions, Answered Straight
A whole lot. Think up to 16 pickup truck loads of debris in one can. It handles full commercial gut jobs, major demo, and whole house cleanouts without you stacking things carefully. Furniture, drywall, decking, most appliances, all of it goes right in. The only real limits are a few off limits items and heavy material like concrete, which hits the weight cap fast.
Go 40 when the job has real volume and you don't want to swap cans halfway. Go 30 when it's a big cleanout but not a full commercial or demo job. Honestly, if you're on the fence, size up. Your rental comes with 6 tons included, and that covers most jobs just fine. Here's the catch though. Heavy material like concrete, brick, or dirt hits that 6 ton limit long before the can looks full. So a 40 packed with regular demo debris is no problem. A 40 packed with concrete is a different story. If your load is heavy, call first and we'll sort it out.
A 40 is our longest can, so it needs a decent clear stretch to sit and room for the truck to back in and drop it. A wide driveway, a lot, or a job site all work great. If space is tight, tell us where you're thinking of putting it when you call. We'll figure out the right spot before the truck ever rolls out.
